Apple cake with cinnamon and almonds

Ingredients

- 100 g flour
- 100 g ground almonds
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 180 g soft butter
- 180 g raw cane sugar, plus 2 tbsp. extra
- 3 eggs
- 2 hand apples, sliced

Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180 ºC.
2. Grease a cake pan (0 20 cm). Mix the flour, almonds, the
baking powder and the cinnamon with a pinch of salt in a bowl.
3. Mix the butter and sugar in a large bowl and beat in the eggs. Add the
dry ingredients while continuing to beat.
4. Pour half of the batter into the mold and spread a layer of
apple. Pour the rest of the batter on top and finish with the rest of the
apple slices, sprinkled with the extra sugar.
5. Bake the cake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
